AM I MOTIVATED
TO REACH OTHERS?

Before we share the gospel, it’s important to understand why. Examining our motivation helps us to reach others effectively and protects us from falling into unhealthy habits of laziness, harshness, or silence.

After asking “why?” we ask “who?” Noticing and actively moving toward the lost is critical. God calls us the light of the world (Matt. 5:14), ambassadors of Christ (2 Cor. 5:20), and a royal priesthood (2 Pet. 2:9). These are all active titles that remind us of our part in God’s mission. Consider the following questions about The Lost:

Do I share my faith out of obligation or love?
How often do I think about the spiritual needs of others?
Do I know anyone who needs to hear some good news?
How much do I know about the people God has put in my life?
